Opinion: Protection of Glen Abbey Golf Club is about more than just golf

Efforts to save the Glen Abbey Golf Club from falling into development are about more than just golf, Oakville’s MPP says. Stephen Crawford, writing an opinion piece in the Oakville Beaver, says development would increase traffic in the area, elevate pollution levels and destroy a key city green space. Its cultural heritage and environmental value are the two leading reasons to protect the golf course, he says.
